Toronto's Glen Road pedestrian bridge closed for emergency repairs

September 3, 2014

The City of Toronto has closed the Glen Road pedestrian bridge for emergency repairs. The bridge extends from the intersection of Glen Road and Dale Avenue, across the Rosedale Valley Road to Bloor Street East just east of Sherbourne Street.

The need for emergency repairs was discovered through routine inspections that were undertaken to prepare for planned bridge rehabilitation work scheduled to begin in 2015.

The City will complete the emergency repair work as quickly as possible. Once these repairs are complete, the bridge will be re-opened.

Pedestrians who want to access the Glen Road area can do so using the bridge at Sherbourne Street and Bloor Street East.
