Golf season kicks off at City of Toronto courses

April 14, 2016

It's tee-off time at City of Toronto golf courses. All five courses open tomorrow, Friday, April 15, weather permitting, and offer early bird rates. Located on beautiful parklands, Toronto's courses are all affordable, high quality and TTC-accessible.

Open to golfers of all skill levels, each of the five courses has its own unique characteristics and offer something for everyone.

As part of the City's efforts to make golf accessible to everyone, the courses offer reasonable rates and a variety of different promotions including discounts for juniors and seniors, early bird, twilight and nine-hole rates and family nights. The courses also offer affordable clinics and annual memberships for junior golfers ages 10 to 18.

Private, semi-private and group lessons taught by PGA of Canada instructors are available at each of the courses. A number of the courses also offer leagues for women looking to play often and advance their skills.

In 2015, two City courses were recognized by the Golfers' Choice Awards (Toronto Sun Golf Guide). Humber Valley won gold for Best Value Golf Course in the GTA and Dentonia Park was awarded silver for Best Par 3/Executive Golf Course in the GTA.

More information about the City's golf courses is available at http://www.toronto.ca/golf and tee times can be booked by calling the courses directly.
