Toronto moves forward to operate supervised injection services

Tomorrow, in recognition of World AIDS Day, Toronto Public Health will submit an exemption application to Health Canada to operate a supervised injection service in Toronto. Queen West Central Toronto Community Health Centre and South Riverdale Community Health Centre will also submit their applications tomorrow to operate supervised injection services as part of their existing harm reduction services for people who inject drugs.

Sightings of coyotes are normal in parts of Toronto

Toronto residents who live near ravines and forests – typical coyote habitat – can expect an increase in coyote sightings during this time of year. Coyotes are active day and night, but prefer to hunt after dusk or before dawn.

Extension of bus bypass lanes will improve transit service on Don Valley Parkway

The City of Toronto, Metrolinx and the Toronto Transit Commission have worked to expand a program that allows authorized transit vehicles to use dedicated lanes along parts of the Don Valley Parkway when traffic is moving slowly.
